The meeting of the 2/3 Vietnam Veterans Association was called to order by Acting Secretary Richard Cummings, in the absence of Secretary, Rod Radich.

The Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence was offered for those Marines, past and present, who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom.

President Frank Correia called the meeting to order at 0920.

Treasurer: Harry Hoy - Present

REPORTS OF OFFICERS
PRESIDENT: None.
VICE PRESIDENT: None.
SECRETARY: None.
TREASURER: Reported on the financial status of the Association.

M/S/C To accept the Treasurer's report as read.

OLD BUSINESS

M/S/C To dispense with the reading of the minutes of last year and accept minutes for the record.

NEW BUSINESS

M/S/C To pay Michael Hughes $300.00 for purchase of brick.


M/S/C To allow only current paid members to have password and access to the 2/3 Association Message Board.

M/S/C To authorize one membership card per honorary member. The honorary member shall not pay dues, nor have voting privileges.

2006 REUNION PROPOSALS

Four locations were considered:

Alan Walker presented a written proposal for Niagara Falls, New York to be held the week following the fourth of July 2007 and Portland, Maine.

Jim Terry presented a proposal for San Antonio, Texas. Also discussed was Chesapeake Bay, Virginia.

Niagara Falls, New York was voted first choice for 2007 Reunion, with Frank Correia as Reunion Host.

San Antonio, Texas was voted first choice for 2008 Reunion, with Jim Terry as the Reunion Host.

M/S/C To have the 2007 Reunion at Niagara Falls, New York

FURTHER BUSINESS CALLED FOR

The Gold Star Mother’s were invited to return to future 2/3 Vietnam Veterans Association Reunions.

Buddy Fund was discussed. It was proposed to start the Buddy Fund with $2,000.00 from the 2/3 Vietnam Veteran’s Association treasury. Voluntary contributions to be accepted from members. Discussion ensued.

Meeting adjourned at 1100 hours.
